If you ask my friends, they'd say I'm crazyily in love! With nature (though some might differ ;) ). And I am.
The nature is something way beyond us all but still with us all. She's someone you could neglect and still she would love you and care for you with all her heart. She is all powerful; mighty enough to take all of humanity and all the lifeforms on Earth with just a flick of her finger or a small wisp of her breath and still she feeds and heals the world; the very world which neglects her.
So, don't you think she rigthfully deserves some love and respect.
I do think so.As a student who has to write notes all week long I found a nice way to express it.Most of us senior students have to write about one whole notebook every month on average and most use ballpoint pens for it. But why use all that plastic. Hardly anyone ever bothers to get a refill. They just get a new pen every single time. So, my solution? Use fountain pens.Simple isn't it. All one has to do is take a bit of care not to get it wet. Everything else is the same and its a huge lot cheaper too.
When my friends ask me why I write with an ink pen, I tell them the reason, but the response was not very heartening, without any active response.
But the other day, I was very happy to see that someone actually decided to follow the lead and started using an ink pen and hopefully he'll keep at it. At least, my thoughts got into him. The funny thing is, I didn't talk much about it ,just a couple of sentences to him .
Its all in the pen!!

Never forget, of course, that ink pens look so much nicer. I'm quite partial to Calligraphy myself, though I always seem to break the darned things.
It is such a simple step to help the environment, and I'm glad to see you're making it. So few people are willing to let in even a single inconvenience in their lives to do so much good.

EDIT: Darned thing submitted before I was done. I personally cannot afford even ink pens, since the refills can cost a lot of money. I stick to pencils or my laptop for writing and taking notes. I'm in college though, so it's more acceptable to allow in laptops.
Thanks Revelations 0,
regarding the refills that you mentioned,I'm very much against it.It totally overrides the purpose of using an ink oen, ie. to reduce consumption. I prefer using pens in which we fill the ink. That is much more long lasting although some of the costlier pens come with a refill.
Over here, I can get a ball point pen for Rs 15, a 60ml bottle of ink for Rs 12 and a pretty average pen for Rs 30. Just for cost comparisons.I think that is pretty cheap, although I understand for college use, laptops are definitely much easier.
Hey,
I am glad u got a follower for ur pen campaign...:) even though I heard from u that ink pens are much more eco friendly, and had mentioned in an article published under my real name (idea courtesy to u :), I had never tried to practice the same in my life, except during the good old school days... but may be I can give a try now as well, u see, the only time I use pens are for signatures and ink pens truly give nice signatures and since I need not carry the pen around (I usually sign at my office desk), it won't cause any inconvenience too...May be u ll need to keep reminding me a couple more times so that i would invest in an ink pen :P...
enjoyed ur post.. :)
"The funny thing is, I didn't talk much about it ,just a couple of sentences to him .".....
Just another proof that 'U' really can make a huge impact with less words, if u have a worthy idea and the right set of words..:)
Well, Dear Spirit of Life, about reminding you, don't worry, I'll take care of that ;)
I seems you've become a keen follower of my posts. Good to see!
